Written Task : iLL Manors and Collective Identity

In your opinion, how does the representation of youth in 'iLL Manors' affect the collective identity of British youth?

Try to consider the message that Drew intends audiences to take from the film but also reflect on the how audiences may react in different ways.

In your answer, you should include at least 2 quotations from Ben Drew (the director) and at least 2 quotations from other sources which comment directly on the representation of youth in the film.

In an interview with 1Xtra (the BBC radio station) Ben Drew said;

"When you attack someone because of the way they talk, the way they dress, the music they listen to, or their lack of education, and you do it publicly and it's acceptable to do that, you make them feel alienated"
